. These private rooms were decorated in a restrained and dignified style, intended for comfort and convenience rather than public display. Designed by Robert Jones, the walls were covered with a printed paper featuring a dragon on a green background.
The rooms were furnished with a mixture of objects of different styles and epochs. French and English furniture is thus combined with Japanese lacquer to create an atmosphere of quiet elegance.\par
